Margaux's first long-haul flight was great. She behaved like the true champion that she is - we had a few people thanking us at the end of each flight for having such a calm baby!
Uncle Jim met us at the airport and, after a very tentative hold of his niece, took us to Mum and Dad's. Em also gave her a nervous cuddle but soon became more comfortable. Mum and Dad were, of course, delighted to be reunited with Margaux (and us).
A bit more than the rest of us, Maggie was a victim of jetlag and time difference so she was up at all hours of the night for the first week or so. It did mean, however, that I was walking with her down Anembo Rd (behind Mum and Dad's) at 01:30 under a full moon when (wait for it) we saw a kangaroo silhouetted in the moonlight!
We had one day of rest before a whole bunch of family and family friends popped over for brunch and to meet Margaux. It was a delightful morning, where she was adored by one and all. It was great way for all of us to start our holiday.
