Solids...

The time had come: Margaux was ready for proper food! We all, but mostly she, entered with great trepidation...

Here is a compilation of Margaux Vs. Food in no particular chronological order:

The first photo is Margaux's first taste of solids (pureed carrot)... thankfully her tastes have developed since then!

Margaux has been quite the little experimenter when it comes to solid foods. So far, she's leaning towards a sweet tooth, preferring yoghurt and pear/ apple/ blueberries/ banana, and any of the melons to her vege purees and soups. She also really gets into mashes - like banana and avocado, and bananas and orange juice (never would have thought of that combo myself, but she loves it!).

It does mean that she gets food stuck in every possible spot of her upper body - mostly in the folds of her neck, in and around her eyes, on her ears, and of course all over her hands.

She has been very keen on feeding herself from the start, which is mostly good news, but it does make for a messier meal-time!
