January 3, 2014, took Margaux on her first flit out of Portugal. She endured the delights of Ryanair with stellar tenacity, and behaved perfectly on both the take-off and landing of both flights. What a champion!
The seating space left a little to be desired...
The wedding was an understated reception in the city hall, and was followed by a fun and informal dinner with typical food from the north of France... including the option of a chicken and maroilles cheese. Think smelly socks that have been wet for a few days and you'll get an idea of the cheese. Thankfully there were other choices.
The initial idea was to have everyone do a flashmob style dance (choreographed by Sixtene and sent as a video by email to everyone so they could learn it prior to the event) during the meal, but the layout of the restaurant prohibited it. As a result, we all ended up on the dance floor entertaining a very bemused couple.
It was a very quick jaunt and we were back in Cascais before we knew it.
