At various points through the year Thomas had been heading off to various countries for work, however I can't remember the dates so have glossed over them throughout the blog. It's always hard though, especially for him, but thanks to Skype he always gets his daily fix of Miss Maggie!
The highlight of May, however, came in the form of Alex's 40th! She had a 70's themed dress-up party, which unfortunately Thomas didn't read in the invitation so we were in the minority of casual dressers. Not that it was a problem; we both had a thoroughly good time anyway.
The party was on May 24 and was held at the home of she, Quentin, and their son, David. Not that anyone but us knew it, Alex was in the early stages of pregnancy...
We caught up with some old friends (including Michael, who visited us with Alex in 2009, and Aymeric & Charlotte) and met many new people, which made for a lovely evening. Margaux was a fantastically well-behaved baby, and was adored by all.
Margaux with various combinations of Michael, Charlotte, Thomas, and me.
We also had the wonderful opportunity to catch up with Marie, a pregnant Scholastie, Hippolyte, and Josephine on Saturday afternoon.
As with Marie and Scholastie's wedding, this was another quick flit (oh, living in Europe is such a treat) and we were back by Sunday night.
